The Dingemans group is buying Magnelis® steel which was produced by ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products using the XCarb® recycled and renewably produced route. This type of steel was created using a minimum of 75-percent scrap steel and 100-percent renewable electricity. The result is a product with a 70-percent lower carbon footprint than steel produced via the traditional blast furnace route.
NSC, a Dutch steel service centre and a subsidiary of Dingemans, is slitting the XCarb® Magnelis® steel that will be mainly used for metal studs in a building’s framework system.
More information about Magnelis®
The origins of the Dingemans companies date back to the year 1981, when the Dingemans family set up a firm known as Dingemans Afbouw & Montage. During this initial period operating in the fitting-out trade, they gradually developed the idea of also manufacturing their own steel section. And Dingemans Elementenbouw was therefore established in 1986.
In 1999, the firm concluded the takeover of MRP (Metal Rolling Products), enabling it to market an even more extensive range. In contrast to Dingemans, MRP manufactures modular profile sections for the construction industry.
They also founded NSC (Nederlands Slit Center), which has its own slitting line and state-of-the-art packaging line.
