Cougnaud, French leader in industrialised modular construction, chose tubes and façade elements from ArcelorMittal Europe – Tubular Products and ArcelorMittal Construction for the construction of its Campus building.
A fully sustainable building
Based in the Vendée region, in France, the Cougnaud Group is organised around two complementary businesses: construction and rental living and working spaces for professionals in the private and public sectors. The company is a long-term customer of ArcelorMittal Europe – Tubular Products and purchases 8,000 tonnes of steel tubes per year.
For the construction of their administrative building, called Cougnaud Campus, they naturally turned to us for the supply of tubes as well as façade elements. Cougnaud Campus is a sustainable building where everything has been thought out to limit its carbon impact, and it fully complies with the RE2020 environmental regulations.
A fruitful collaboration between Downstream Solutions' business divisions
ArcelorMittal Europe – Tubular Products and ArcelorMittal Construction both collaborated on the project.
ArcelorMittal Europe – Tubular Products supplied tubes from its mills of Lexy (France) and Fabril (Spain) used to build the structure of the building (floor frame, poles, frame).
For the façade, 1,200 m² of ST500 flat sidings were supplied to Cougnaud by ArcelorMittal Construction through customer EC2I. The entire façade was realised with our sidings, which were particularly appreciated by Cougnaud for their specific design. The sidings were produced in the plants of Dunkirk (with hot rolled coils from ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products), in Contrisson for the coating and in Cérons for the final production; all plants located in France.
ArcelorMittal is proud to have supplied high quality products for one of our long-term customer's landmark. We look forward to the next projects with Cougnaud.
