From the moment you wake up (steel at home)Time to renovate your bathroom?
German firm Alape creates its hand-finished bathroom basins and sinks with ArcelorMittal’s cold forming steels designed for enamelling. “We love to work with ArcelorMittal products because of the possibilities their steels offer,” notes Lars Betzner. “They give us the best results throughout the entire production chain. In February 2016, global shipbuilder Damen cut steel for the first of its new class of service operation vessels (SOVs). The new vessels will offer ‘walk to work’ capabilities for personnel who service offshore energy facilities. ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products is supplying steel plates for the initial vessel: the Bibby WaveMaster 1.Osman Gazi Bridge, Turkey
ArcelorMittal Galati plates have been shaped by Çimtaş’s perfectionism in steel fabrication. The bridge that crosses the Bay of Izmit has been a part of a 420 kilometer highway project that shortens the distance between Istanbul and Izmir by about 140 kilometers and cutting travel time between Istanbul and Izmir from nine to 3.5 hours.

ArcelorMittal has just completed deliveries of Magnelis® for Latin America’s largest photovoltaic (PV) farm. Located in Chile’s harsh Atacama Desert, the El Romero Solar farm will have a peak capacity of 246.6 megawatts (MWp) when it comes on-stream in mid-2017. The Atacama Desert is one of the driest places on Earth and the perfect environment to collect energy from the sun. But for the structures which hold the PV panels in place, the corrosive desert winds and extreme temperatures provide a huge challenge.
