ArcelorMittal at Intersolar Middle East

On stand Z2.B51 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, from 5 to 7 March 2019, ArcelorMittal showcased Magnelis^®, the innovative coating to protect all steel structures of solar installations.

This was the first participation of Magnelis^® within the larger scope of the Middle East Electricity trade show. The ArcelorMittal teams presented the innovative coating through videos, samples and brochures. Magnelis^® is already known in the region, and present in a number of projects such as the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park.

Magnelis^® is the best material for steel structures of solar installations with guaranteed durability up to 25 years.

• Magnelis^® is recommended for fixed structures, but also trackers, roof-top, floating instalations and PV panel frames.
• Combined with High-strength steels, it offers additional opportunities of structure optimisation

On Tuesday 5 March, at14:00 on stand Z2.G50, the ArcelorMittal team held a technical seminar: “Magnelis^® steel, essential for durability, robustness and sustainability of solar projects”.

As Jérôme Guth, solar business development for ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products, comments : “The cost reduction of modules has shifted the focus on other components of solar projects such as the structures. More and more mounting structures are nowadays considering steel with Magnelis^® instead of aluminium or post-galvanised for both technical and economic reasons.”
