From 27 to 29 January in Rotterdam, ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products and ArcelorMittal Construction Netherlands joined forces to present an unrivalled range of steels and steel solutions for sustainable buildings at Material Xperience 2016.
The visitors could discover the whole range of our flat steels for construction with Steel Envelope. Consisting of a landmark book and a dedicated website, Steel Envelope gives architects, designers and engineers a chance to touch and feel ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products' construction products.
Among the most appreciated products, we can mention Indaten® weathering steel presented in a perforated profile, and the prepainted steels with textures and patterns such as Granite® Quartz, Granite® Storm and Granite® Silky Mat.

Material Xperience is a yearly materials event for architects and other creative professionals.
The theme of this year was ‘The Future is Here' and included topics such as New Techniques, New Materials, New Energy Sources, Digital Technology and Circular Economy.
In the exhibition area, the partners showcased their innovations within the four segments of Floors, Roofs & Facades, Walls & Ceilings, and a special new segment, the providers of digital technologies.
The accompanying conference programme once again focused on the themes of innovation, inspiration and, of course, the future.
A limited edition Steel Envelope book has been published and will be distributed to architects across Europe. As well as detachable samples, the book features large format images and practical details about each construction steel grade and finish.
The samples can be easily removed so that they can be viewed in real-life interior or exterior lighting conditions. Samples of ArcelorMittal’s metallic (Magnelis®, Aluzinc® Florelis, and Indaten®) and pre-painted (Granite® and Estetic®) steel finishes are presented.
Like the Steel Envelope website, the book includes a product selector which helps architects and designers select the right steel for the right application.
