Recommendation

Steel plates for shipbuilding are supplied in accordance with required classification societies and offered as per customer’s requirement: as rolled, shot blasted or shot blasted and painted. The plates offer guaranteed minimum yield strength and toughness values at different temperature levels. With options such as reduced CEQ that delivers better weldability, US testing and through thickness properties (Z-test), these grades are the ideal choice for a full range of shipbuilding applications like hull, deck or interiors.

ArcelorMittal’s shipbuilding grades are certified by most of the world’s leading accreditation bodies including American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) in the USA, Bureau Veritas (BV) in France, Det Norske Veritas (DNV) in Norway, Germanischer Lloyd (GL) in Germany, Lloyd’s Register of Shipping (LRS) in the UK and Registro Italiano Navale (RINA) in Italy.
