ArcelorMittal at Steel Tubes and Pipes Conference

Denis Parein, Segment Manager - Oil and Gas, ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat products, was one of the 11 speakers at the Steel Tube and Pipe Conference held in Cologne, Germany, on 29 September 2015.

The expectation of ArcelorMittal’s customers is to gain competitive advantage through new product development, co-engineering and optimized supply chain and supply security through multi mill principle.

Niches are seen as the path to follow by the tube makers. In his presentation Mr Parein gave a clear path to differentiation and how to develop in niche markets with Magnelis^®: a unique metallic coating that resists in the harshest and most corrosive environments; as well as a new range of high strength steels & boron grades for tube applications.
