ArcelorMittal at Budma 2015

10 to 13 March 2015 in Poznań, Poland

ArcelorMittal participated in Budma 2015, the International Construction and Architecture Fair in Poznań.

Over 1000 companies from around the world presented their latest products during this year edition of BUDMA fair, where high-quality systems, materials and technologies to make life more comfortable and ecological were presented.

ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products presented real samples of its products for architects and other professionals of the construction market:

  • The new organic coated flat steels for facades Granite® Silky Mat and Granite® Impression finishes, free of hexavalent chromium and heavy metals
  • Granite® Storm, a pre-painted steel for roofing applications offering superb robustness, and which received in 2014 a “Teraz Polska” award, recognizing its quality, technology and functionality.
  • Granite® Quartz, a new surface for roofs and façades which has the glinting, scintillating feel of natural minerals, with a variety of facets giving the surface finish a beautiful crystalline look.

The ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products wide offer of products and dedicated solutions also includes:

  • Aluzinc®, a unique combination of aluminium and zinc for an outstanding resistance to corrosion for roofing and cladding applications.
  • Magnelis®, the innovative metallic coating that protects in the harshest environments
  • Optigal™, the optimised protection for the next generation of organic coated steel.

The fair also offered the opportunity to present and promote our new Steel Envelope initiative. Consisting of a landmark book and a dedicated website, Steel Envelope gives architects, designers and specifiers a chance to touch and feel ArcelorMittal’s construction products. Steel envelope includes ArcelorMittal’s pre-painted and metallic coated steels for both interior and exterior building applications.

The agenda of fair included interesting points: tests area, architecture forum, lots of conferences and events. Under the Strada di Architettura project a debate with architects was organized during which ArcelorMittal Steel envelope was presented. The participants of the debate had a chance to talk to Albero Veiga, well-known designers who is the author of concert hall in Szczecin. ArcelorMittal supplied products for building elevation and floors for this project.

In addition to this, ArcelorMittal took part in several conferences, one of them was organized by the Polish Chamber of Steel Construction and was entitled “Ideally designed steel constructions”. The attention was paid to economic and technical aspects of steel construction design. ArcelorMittal presented steel grades used in the construction sector. Another subject which was raised was fire safety of industrial buildings.

This year’s edition of BUDMA was held under the slogan “Technology for Construction industry." The agenda of the fair included interesting attractions like Test Zone, Architectural Forum, numerous conferences and industry events.
