ArcelorMittal at Infosteel's Steel Construction Day

27 November, Belgium

More than 500 participants joined this yearly key event for all stakeholders of the steel construction business in Belgium and Luxembourg.

All ArcelorMittal entities providing steel products, building components, systems made of steel as well as transformation and logistics services, attended the event.

ArcelorMittal actively contributed to the conferences and presented its innovative ranges of products and services in a 48 m2 stand located in the exhibition area.

ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products presented its latest innovations among which the new Granite® Impression and Silky Mat unique finishes for facades, Magnelis®, the innovative metallic coating that protects in the harshest environments and Optigal™, the optimised protection for the next generation of organic coated steel.

Among some messages of the day, we can mention the arrival of new European execution standards, and the examples given of the Bosphorus bridge and the Louis Vuitton foundation in Paris that showcase the performance of steel in terms of quickness of execution and the creativity it brings to build exceptional buildings.

The ArcelorMittal representatives who spoke in the conferences benefited from a high interest, especially from Architects, and the brochures related to these presentations all disappeared from ArcelorMittal stand shelves. Tim Meert, Technical Sales Manager ArcelorMittal Europe – Long products, explained how a new generation of steel floor system offers new opportunities in design, and Pierre Engel, Engineer, ArcelorMittal Construction, demonstrated the outstanding contribution of pre-painted and weathering steel to the refurbishment of building envelopes.
