Webinar in Italian

Tuesday 20 September, 15:00 CET

ArcelorMittal is official partner of The Plan in 2022, and will speak in a series of 10 webinars, under the common thread “SOCIAL HOUSING AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT - THE ROLE OF ARCHITECTURE IN A BETTER SOCIETY”.

On 20 September, ArcelorMittal spoke on steel for wineries. The presentation outlined the requirements in terms of aesthetics, durability and sustainability, and introduced the advantages of steel for wineries. In the spotlight was Indaten®, also known under Corten name.

Like a nice wine, thanks to its specific chemistry, Indaten® apperance evolves over time, as the steel develops a compact and adhesive oxide layer which enhances its corrosion resistance, while giving a specific aestethic able to merge with natural environments. As a matter of fact, Indaten® requires little maintenance for almost 80 years!

This steels offers many other advantages such as ease of construction, taylorability and lower environmental impact compared with traditional building materials.

As in previous webinars, the presentation featured projects where ArcelorMittal provided steel and solutions for great applications.
