  • Steel for marine environments

Webinar in Italian

Tuesday 21 June, 15:00 CET

ArcelorMittal is official partner of The Plan in 2022, and will speak in a series of 10 webinars, under the common thread “SOCIAL HOUSING AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT - THE ROLE OF ARCHITECTURE IN A BETTER SOCIETY”.

On 21 June, ArcelorMittal spoke on steel for marine environments. The presentation outlined the requirements in terms of corrosion/UV resistance, durability and aesthetics, and introduced the ranges of steel designed for marine/maritime environments:

  • Granite® HDXtreme, the latest generation of organic-coated steel, guaranteed for up to 40 years and designed for roofs and facades on buildings near the sea
  • Magnelis® metallic coated steels with extreme resistance against corrosion for substructures of vessels
  • The Estetic® range of organic coated steels, marine-certified, REACh-compliant, offering a wide range of colours and textures for unique vessel interiors

As in previous webinars, the presentation featuredmany projects where ArcelorMittal has provided steel and solutions for great applications.

Our speaker for this session was Ing. Mattia Alemani, Customer Technical Support (CTS) Manager at ArcelorMittal Europe – Flat Products.
