Aachen 26-27 April 2022
Electrical steels are the central material to shape the engines of electric cars.
Did you that know that an electric car uses on average 50 kg of electrical steel for its traction?
As one of the leading players, ArcelorMittal has been presenting some of its electrical steels research results at the first edition of IESSS, the International Electric Steel Sheet Summit in Aachen, Germany. At this conference, various partners in this fast-changing field came together to exchange about the production, punching, joining of electrical steels for electric motors.
On the sponsor booth, ArcelorMittal also presented its iCARe® range of electrical steels which are used to optimise the electric engines to power the most efficient electric vehicles of the future.
After a long period of virtual meetings all participants agreed it was great to witness real-life presentations again and have face-to-face exchanges to shape the future of e-mobility.
